What I got for christmas - Makeup!!!

Hello again,

Just a quickie before I get started with the post, I though those of you that take the time to read my blog would like to know that bravely? Stupidly? I am going to attempt posting every day this year, yes. Every day, Yes 365 blogs this year. Let’s see how this goes...

So, I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas! I was very lucky this year with presents, especially in the makeup department, So here is a wee blog about all the lovely products I was gifted this Christmas.

All these lovely bits and bobs were from my mother (give or take a few) I’ve wanted so many of these Benefit bits for so long, I’ve not stopped talking about them so long now, I kind of hadn’t realised how many different products I wanted, but clearly my mum had been taking mental notes! (Well done mum, round of applause) On Christmas day I was lucky enough to receive the green Benefit tin, containing, They’re Real, Hoola, High Beam and Gimmie Brow. I loved this set, i wanted every single product in it, I hadn't actually asked for High Beam but my mum knows it’s something I use every day, so I'll make good use of it!!
Separately my mum gave me the They’re Real Push Up Liner again by Benefit, which I've had before and love love loveeeed so I was dying for a new one!! Also, Benefit Porefessional which if you’ve tried before you’ll know it is absolutely amazing! It gives you the best base for your makeup! My mum also gave me the Pro Longwear Studio Fix Concealer, this was something I've also wanted for ages as I use the Mac Studio Fix concealer, alll the time!

My sister really surprised me on Christmas day, and she actually gave me one of the Channel Primers I have been raving about for sooo long now! I thought it was the foundation I asked for so I was totally shocked when I opened it, but most defiantly very happy with it!

When we got to my Grandparents for lunch there were lots more presents waiting under the tree, One was a huge Ted Baker box with two little drawers full of Ted Baker Makeup, unfortunately I forgot to include this in my Photo, I might do a brand appreciation post on their lovely products! The other Makeupy’ gift I received there was a lovely little gift set, from Benefit, surprise surprise! It contained, Posie Balm, Posie Tint, Bene Balm and Bene Tint I thought this was a lovely little set and I was very excited to use it!

And finally, my lovely boyfriend got me a huge amount of presents, I was very lucky, one of which was the Urban Decay Setting Spray which he knows I use every day so I was happy to receive a fresh new bottle for the New Year!

I was so very spoilt this year, I was very lucky, so a big thank you to everyone for my gifts!
I also got some pallets that I will write about separately in another post soon!

Wish me luck for 365 days of blogging!
See you soon!

Now is the time for new beginnings.

Hello,

So I have to say when I got this post in my mind it got me quite looking forward to writing it and sharing it with you all.

Most importantly Happy New Year to you all!!
I dont know about you but im one of those people who struggles to start somthing new without it being a new week or month or year, or even a monday. I think its more of a procrastination thing than anything else but either way a new year really is a huge fresh start for someone like me!

I thought i would share with you my new years resoloutions and maybe you could all motivate me on twitter because i very very rarely stick to them and usually put it off till the next new year!

I tend to make lot of resoloutions so ill be brief about them!

  • Most importantly, Blog every week. Plan blogs and take photos in advance, get ahead so that when i have a lack of motivation Ive already got a blog prepered! Ive decided to blog on a Sunday evening from now on so that I can be more realistic about actually writing them in the day!
  • Eat Healthly! Only eat junk food in moderation and don't binge!! Start with a healthy breckfast. If youre starving hungry by the time you should be having lunch youre 10 times more likely to binge on junk food!
  • Start getting up early so thar you can stop having to rush around and ending up being late for college! (to do this you really should start going to bed at a reasonable time!)
  • Join a Gym, time to work off all the junk food i shouldnt have eaten this year, but did.
  • Use Study periods and free time wisely. GCSE results day was crap. Dont let that happen again. Revise and prepare yourself for your exams in only 5 months. (not forgetting your mocks within a matter of weeks...)
  • have a more posotive attitude about life. Enough of the negativity.
  • Be more appriciative of those who would take a bullet for you and be more greatful for everything that they do for you and treat them how they deserve to be treated (Enough of the mood swings!)
  • Save money. Stop wasting money and spending it all on pay day! Save money every month and leave it there!!
  • Aviod mobile phones, Laptops and television for at least an hour a day. Read a book, go for a walk, do some photography or spend some time at your sewing machine.
  • Make an effort to see or speak to family every week. Any thing could happen, dont regret not making the effort to see the ones you love.

So, there are my 10 new years resoloutions. I feel its really important to create a new begining agt the start of a new year, even if your resoloutions dont follow through, i feel the mind set is important.
What are your resoloutions?

Till next week.

Real Techniques Bold Metals

Hello All,

So its been two weeks since I've posted, I'm really sorry. I was on holiday with my mum, I had the most amazing time! There will be lots of photos on my twitter very soon @CantBlog follow me so you can see exactly what I've been up to and some up coming blogs! Little self promotion there...

So whilst I was on holiday my very lovely boyfriend gave me a call, knowing how much I wanted the Real Techniques Bold Metals collection of brushes. He told me that boots had a really good offer on and insisted of buying them for me.

I was so excited to use them, and oh my did they meet my expectations and beyond! they're so good, These brushes By Sam & Nick Chapman Youtube sisters, If you've not heard of them or real techniques you must have been living under a rock because everyone I know raves about them!!
Sam & Nick have two collections of brushes The original collection which I'm sure I'll be blogging about very very soon, and the slightly more expensive Bold Metals collection!

The bold metals collection of brushes are weighted at head so that they can be comfortably held and lean towards your face making them all really easy to control. The handles are also shaped so that they don't roll around and also to fit perfectly in to your hand, not to mention the super soft bristles (Which are also synthetic so that they last longer and are still cruelty free!)

The brushes come in three different colors, Silver, Rose Gold and Gold.

In the gold collection there are just the two brushes, first there is 100 an arched powder brush this is quite a large brush, its great for setting powders or an all over bronze, its not great for anything intricate because or its size.
Next is, 101 a Triangle foundation brush, obviously this is a foundation brush so its perfect for foundation but its shape is quite unique, its almost 3D with such a point so you can get right in under your eyes.

Next are the silver Brushes, there are three brushes in this collection and I think they're all for the eyes.
First up we have 200 which is an oval eye shadow brush, this is a really good size for a base coat of shadow on the eyes its bigger than most shadow brushes but is actually really great!
Next is 201 this is a pointed crease brush, this is such a good brush, I have been using it for the crease in my eye (would have never have guessed that..) Its perfect with a darker shadow. A little less obviously I have found that its great for both the inner and outer corners. And last but by no means least is 202 which is an angled liner, I use the benefit push up liner or other felt tip liners so this one isn't used for my liner. I use this for my brows and its amazing! I've never found a brush that can give you such realistic individual hairs within the brows its great and so detailing, its just the right size, most brow brushes tend to be much bigger!

Lastly are the rose gold brushes, I personally think that these are the most beautiful brushes, the rose gold is just so pretty. I'm almost certain that every girl is a sucker for rose gold.
First is 300 which is a tapered brush, I use this one for blusher and its a really great size as its nice and small, it really allows you to be precise about where you're applying the blush.
And finally is 301 this is my favorite out of all of them its a flat contour brush and it just has so much structure to it, as do all of this collection. This brush is my all time favorite for contouring, I love it!

I hope you liked this post, it was quite a lot longer than usual, but I hope you found it interesting and enjoyed reading it.

I'm always on the lookout for new good brushes so if you know of any then comment down below good makes and brushes, id love to know what brushes you've been loving recently, as well as your thoughts on these!

Some New Beauty Buys

 Hellooo!

So over the last week or so I have bought a range of new beauty products mainly high end brands this month, but I thought I would share what I bought with you anyway!

From Left to Right.

So after really hating the push-up liner from Benefit I was playing about with someones makeup and found they had this so thought I would try it again, and I fell in love strait away! the tester on the Benefit counter all that time ago really hadn't done it justice, it was so dry and crumbly, but after trying it I went out and bought it the following day. Money well spent! Its so black and stays that way all day, the application is so easy and its a task to get off without makeup remover! I would even go as far as saying its waterproof!

Next up is this Chanel mascara, after using this just the once I fell in love and it became my new favorite mascara ever! It gives you length and volume as well as the perfect separation, it doesn't go clumpy, it doesn't come off beneath your eyes, its just amazing!

Next is a product I've bought and loved before, I'm not sure if I have spoken about it on my blog before. Its Mac Studio Fix, this foundation.. Amazing! It gives you such good courage, it stays on well throughout the day and it gives you a lovely matte yet dewy finish, I really love this!

Next is something I wrote about I'm my samples I plan on buying post, and I finally bought it! I really like this as it gives you such a subtle glow on the cheek bones etc, the consistency is also really good, I find its best to blend with fingers as the brush tends to pick it up whilst blending and you loose your glow!

Next up is a Nars lip gloss which I have to say I am slightly disappointed with, when I saw it was a red I thought I must have it it looks like its got a very strong pigmentation however when you apply it its really not that strong and if you put this on bare lips then the red is lost, I guess it would be best over a strong matte red.

This is probably one of the cheapest concealers, but I have to say i love it! Its so thick and has such good coverage its really good to wear if you don't really want to wear any makeup but don't want it to look like your half dead with bags under your eyes, it really wakes you up with a coat of mascara! Its by Natural Collection and its called a Cover Up Cream.

Lastly is a lipstick by Kiko, I can never work out if I like their lipsticks or not as they're so creamy so very nourishing but don't last very long as a strong color, however they really stain your lips so even when the lipstick has worn off as it seems to do quite quickly you've still got the stain, and they're also very cheep!

I hope you liked this post! What have you been buying recently?
See you next week!

My Favorite Books

Hiya Girls,

I'm so sorry I've left it so long to post I've been busy and have had very little motivation! The last couple of days the weather has been awful, its been grey and miserable, so I've found my self with my head in a book quite a bit recently! So I decided to write something little about some of my favorite books, I selected some more current ones as I'm sure you've heard of all the classics although I really do love a good ol' classic!

So, last year the film Love, Rosie. was really popular, I knew the story line but hadn't yet seen the film, I came across a box of books and I found 'Where rainbows end' as I read I thought the story line was similar but it wasn't till after that I googled it to find out that is the book that the film was based on. I have to say the book is a million times better than the film, its just so much more sad, romantic and heart warming. I really do love this book by Cecelia Ahern who also wrote Ps. I love you.

Next is an author I think every girl that blogs or reads blogs, or goes on instagram or twitter or just breaths has heard of, John Green, most people know him for the fault in our stars, don't get me wrong i love the fault in our stars, but looking for Alaska trumps it, they're both very different stories, Its really about a young girl who is troubled and a boy that becomes friends with her and gets the forefront of the pain she causes those close to her. Its such a lovely and again sad story.

Now is good is again a very sad story about a young girl with cancer, she has a bucket list and her aim is to complete all the things before she dies. Its really sad, she sort of self destructs, Tessa has a good sence of humor and it quite blunt about whats going on. Again its a love story and you see how she falls in love and and does all these things she has planned to (mostly highly illegal!) Despite being a sad story it is really funny and very heart warming!

What books have you been loving recently? Have you read any of these three and loved them as much as I have? I would love to hear about it!

Talk soon!

July Wishlist

Hellooo,

So there's always things I  have my eye on but this month I thought i would share with you what they are! Hmm, I can see a slight theme going on here... I have to say I'm a sucker for anything rose gold, I just love it!!
Something I've had my eyes on for months are the Zoeva Brushes (in rose gold of course!) They're just so so so pretty and from what I've heard they're very good brushes! I've really gotten in to eye makeup recently and loving my eye shadows, so adding these to me collection of brushes can only be a good thing.. Or so I keep telling myself!

Bobbi Brown, where do I even start shes just perfect and I must say I have a slight girl crush on her.. Shes just so inspirational I love how she worked her way up and I love her approach to the makeup she designs, and most of all I love her products! The shimmer brick has been on my wishlist for a while now, Its so beautiful and anything that gives you a natural looking shimmer or glow I just must have!

Charlotte Tilbury Lipsticks, A lipstick with rose gold packaging... what more can I say! I just need it, its so beautiful.

So I've been working a lot this month, and I've been drooling over this Michel Kors bracelet in the shop window for weeks, I seem to always end up walking past, I just can't help it... It's just lovely so I thought I would treat myself this month! (excuses!) I just cant not have it its gorgeous!

And finally, something that made me wayyyy more excited than it should of! Who knew Lush would do a frozen bath bomb, best thing ever!! I become a child when it comes to Disney films and frozen is just the best one ever! So I couldn't not have this Frozen bath bomb!!

Looks like I'm not going to be saving much this month!!
Hope you liked this!
